Paper Submission

Copyright Transfer Forms

Please note that all papers which appear in the Control 2008 proceedings will later be electronically indexed and e-published by the IET. To reduce paper work and save time in processing the copyright transfers, Control 2008 would like to request all authors to directly sign the copyright transfer form for the IET. We require that this form is completed for every paper to be published by the conference. The forms should reach us by the 7th of July. You can send us the completed form by the following ways:

  1. Scan the signed form and email it to mcc.reg@manchester.ac.uk
  2. Fax the signed form to +44 (0)161 306 4070

Regardless of the means of correspondence please make sure that the form is signed, you clearly indicate your name, your paper reference number and the title of your paper.

Contributed and interactive papers

All papers submitted to UKACC 2008 must be in the form of regular papers written in English and limited to six pages. A short list of 3-5 keywords should be included. All submissions must be done electronically through the conference website.

EI indexing of the papers presented at Control 2008

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) has undertaken the electronic publication and indexing of the papers presented at the UKACC Control 2008 conference. After the event The IET will publish the papers presented at the Control 2008 on their indexed electronic databases. The papers will be available on the EI Inspec and the IEEE Xplore databases and are therefore EI cited. A full subscription will be required to access the papers on IEEE Xplore.

Selected papers from the UKACC Control 2008 conference will be published in a Special Issue of the proceedings of the IET Journal of Control Theory and Applications. For more details please see the call for papers.

Best Student Paper Prize

In association with Feedback Instruments Limited, Control 2008 is holding a prize draw for the best student paper entry. To qualify for entry a paper must have a student as its first author. To nominate your paper for the prize draw, please indicate this during the paper submission process. If you have already submitted your paper and would like to nominate your paper for consideration, or if you would like to nominate a third party paper for consideration, please email your nomination to the Conference Secretary.

Invited Sessions

Proposals for invited sessions are welcomed. Each invited session consists of up to six papers dealing with issues relating to a specific theme. The proposals should contain a summary statement describing the relevance and importance of the session, accompanied by the full text (max 6 pages) of each invited paper. Each paper in a proposed invited session will be individually reviewed. You are welcome to speak to anyone on the organising committee prior to discuss any potential invited sessions.
